Host Location Responsibilities



Host Location: The clinic or hospital that agrees to provide classroom space
Course Vendor: EchoGen Portal
Equipment Sponsor: The Prometheus Group

 

Host Locations Logistics: 

  • Host facilities should be in larger metropolitan areas with adequate professional draw and access to air transportation as well as lodging
  • The host acknowledges that the course will take place at their facility with registrants and instructor in attendance and be remotely broadcast from their facility to additional satellite locations participating remotely in this course
  • The host facility must have adequate space for a minimum of 10 treatment tables all in a single room with access to a power supply for each table including extension cords if needed. Separate lab and lecture space is required. 
  • The facility will allow instructor access to the teaching space the Friday evening prior to course onset for equipment set-up and tech check
  • No financial remuneration will be due to the host for the use of their facility
  • The host facility has no financial obligation to pay or reimburse the instructor or any teaching faculty
  • The host facility will receive one complimentary registration for a clinic staff member in exchange for the use of their clinic space and clinic-owned ultrasound equipment. An additional comp registration will be awarded after 20 paid registrations at the host site
  • The Host admin will appoint a clinician who will be in attendance to function as course coordinator, to assist in set up, take down, and general course coordination. Traditionally this is the clinician receiving the complimentary registration
  • If qualified, a PT clinic staff member may have the opportunity to serve as a lab assistant for this and future courses. TAs need to be proficient, but not experts in RUSI as the course instructor would be present. TAs would receive all course materials and CEUs in exchange for their assistance.  The number of TAs required is dependent on class size. 
  • The host is responsible for ensuring the facility is operational prior to the course dates and facility as well as clean-up of class space at the conclusion of the course
  • The host coordinator will ensure that all the health system’s physical therapy clinic-owned RUSI equipment including: the US probe, computer/tablet, power cord, and mouse, is present and operational prior to the course
  • Host facility agrees to receive and verify loaner ultrasound equipment which will be shipped to a specified address and contact person by The Prometheus Group and to be responsible for the safety of this equipment valued at $7000 per unit
  • Host location agrees to re-pack all ultrasound equipment belonging to The Prometheus Group in the original shipping container and arrange for pre-paid UPS pick-up of the container within 48 hours of course completion. 

 Host Location Tech Requirements:

  • LCD projector with cables and power supply
  • Projection screen, monitors or blank wall to display the visual presentation
  • Sufficient Wi-Fi bandwidth to support broadcasting on a Zoom or similar meeting platform from the class space. 
  • Perform an internet speed test to confirm connectivity in the room 
  • Access to host IT department if needed the Friday before the course for troubleshooting any connectivity issues during set-up.

 Host Location to Provide:

  • ·Access to all the facilities Prometheus RUSI equipment to be used for the US labs and adequate table, stand or cart for the ultrasound equipment during labs.
  • Additional ultrasound gel if shipped supplies run out
  • Linens: 2 pillows, per table plus 4 sheets, 6-8 hand towels and 20 wash cloths or paper towels
  • The host coordinator will ensure that all the health system’s physical therapy clinic-owned RUSI equipment including: the US probe, computer/tablet, power cord and mouse, is present and operational prior to the course.  
  • Gloves and chux or towels for under-pad during the transperineal lab
  • Paper towels and trash receptacles with access to extra bags
  • Pelvis model

Equipment Sponsor Will Provide:

  • The Prometheus Group will ship loaner RUSI systems as needed with the goal of providing one system for every three students for use during labs and provide a pre-paid shipping label for the return of this equipment.
  • Name tags, ultrasound gel, standoff pads, sanitizing wipes, and probe covers for labs
  • EchoGen Portal and The Prometheus Group will be responsible for all advertising and participant registration
  • Remote tech support during the course to assist remote participants

Course Vendor Responsibilities:

  • An in-person instructor to present 19.5 hours of continuing education at the host facility
  • Provide a digital copy of all course material including pre-requisite reading, videos, course manual, and CEU certificates to all participants
  • Instructor will provide a personal computer, adaptors to work with the LCD projector and flash drive with a copy of the presentation as a backup.
  • Instructor will provide all cameras, microphones, and cables needed for broadcast to remote facilities.
  • Any instructor’s or faculty member's approved travel expenses
  • Maintain a general and professional liability insurance policy
