In an international survey on utilization of ultrasound imaging by physiotherapists, Ellis et.al (2020) reported that of the 1307 respondents from 24 countries, 63% were non-users of ultrasound imaging in their practice. Of these non-users, 76% cited a lack of access to training as the number one reason they had not adopted this technology. 

The mission of the EchoGen Portal is the advancement of rehabilitation professionals by providing accessible evidence-based ultrasound imaging education.

Expansion of scope of practice is essential for professional growth in order to provide the best service our community. To be recognized as the musculoskeletal expert in the healthcare team we must use the most objective data available to inform clinical decision making.
